At Senseable City Lab at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Erin Baumgartner guides the Lab's research agenda and directs industrial and non-profit partnerships. Senseable is multidisciplinary research group that studies the interface between cities, people, and technologies, and Erin’s focus is on the crucial step of implementation, spanning the urban, organizational, and individual scales.

Prior to joining Senseable City, Erin was the Managing Director of the MISTI (MIT International Science and Technology Initiatives) in France, Switzerland and Belgium. She holds an MA from New York University and spent many years living and working in France.
